Of the thousands of species of orchids,
I have chosen the Sogo Vivien "Sweet Heart"
Orchid of the Doritaenopsis (pronounced
doh-RYE-ten-OPP-sis) species. Enjoy
stitching the vibrant colors of the delicate
petals of this orchid showcased in this
wireless stumpwork design. You will learn
how to construct the stumpwork petals so that
they are cupping the column made with a bullion
bundle and a throat of cast-on's. The stem is
a triple-stem stitch. The wooden planter is
made with raised double buttonhole stitches
with bits of cast-on moss peeking out.
